Traditionally every population centre of Bukovyna has its own nominal temple holiday. It usually coincides with the day of consecrating of the church or temple. In order to make the event more solemn, priests from neighbouring parishes convened on the holiday and made pompous divine services which gathered people from surrounding villages. After the service, countrymen invited present people to the festive dinner. Even today Bukovynian people treat everyone with festive dishes!
