The
Literature-Memorial Museum of the writer Yuriy
Fedkovych was created in Chernivtsi in 1946. It
is located in the last apartment of the writer
-- house ¹ 10 on Cathedral Square. Here also was
situtated a Ukrainian society “Russian beseda”,
and a newspaper "Bukovina", of which he was an
editor. In the museum you can find documents,
photos, the first printed editions of Y.
Fedkovich, scientific works and works of art
about his life and activities. The room where
the writer lived in 1885-1888 and a working room
of the newspaper are reproduced here. There is
also an exposition of works of Ukrainian writers
whose creativity has spiritual affinity with
Yuriy Fedkovych -- the awakening of the national
consciousness of Austrian Ukrainians in the
middle of the 19th century.
In the house is a Yuriy Fedkovich memorial board.
In Putila, where Y. Fedkovich was born, in the
family manor there is a branch of the
literary-memorial museum.
