          In the foothills of the Ukrainian Carpathians is the regional center of Bukovina - the city of Chernivtsi. This city is worth the attention of tourists for many reasons. Founded in the picturesque hills of the Prut River, it attracts a great landscape, monuments multinational culture, architectural masterpieces, the charming atmosphere of ancient streets and squares. Square of Turkish Well

This Square proves once again that Chernivtsi has been a truly multinational city. Renewed Turkish well once was decorated with a crescent. Perhaps this very crescent gave the name to the square.

Soborna Square

It was formed in the second half of the nineteenth century and located on the top plateau, where Chernivtsi stretched. Earlier the area of this hill was used for summer St. Peter’s Fairs: here farmers sold cattle, small animals, horses, etc.

Central Square

Chernsvtsi Central Square is the face of our city, an exquisite jewel of architecture. Buildings that are located here are defined with special charm, grace and majesty, and City Hall is crowned with the harmony and perfection of architectural composition.

Chernivtsi Regional Art Museum

A real Olympus, Majolica panel depicting Greek gods and goddesses is an undoubted decoration of the building. This mythological composition draws a parallel between the Romanian and Austro-Hungarian Empire of Franz Joseph's times.

Philharmonic Square

Let’s come back to the centre and visit Philharmonic Square – one of the oldest in the city. This square has also often changed its name: Rudolfplatz, Dacia, Victory Square. But the old timers called it in their own way: Melplatz, Flour Square.

Olha Kobylianska Street

Olha Kobylianska Street Each city has a street that like a magnet attracts residents and guests. In Chernivtsi it is the ensemble of pedestrian Olha Kobylianska Street, its historical name is Herrengasse (i.e. Gentlemen’s).
